Lake Louise pictures

The Tea House at the Plain of Six Glaciers trail end, built by the Canadian Pacific Railroad to provide climbers with refreshment after their trek down from the peaks.
The railroad was the prime tourist promoter in this area.

"Just a small hotel" Chateau Lake Louise seen from the far end of the lake

The upper end of Lake Louise. The light color is the glacial silt flowing into the lake from the Victoria glacier run off.

Our first clear view of Victoria Glacier, also on this rainy day

Lake Louise on a rainy day. This was taken from the hotel walkway where you first view the lake. The trail we took goes through the pass seen at the far end of the lake
